Using Demographics with Sales Data


Display Advertising Features allow you to see your site's audience broken down by age, gender, and interests. When you combine this data with transaction data delivered by, the result is an understanding of who your customers are. You'll know which groups of people are spending money on your site, and more importantly, you can then segment these buyers further to see which groups generate the higher value sales. You then feed this information into Google AdWords to target your advertising to the demographic that spend the most money on your site.

As an example, you may discover that women age 35 - 44 make up 89% of your website's sales. In that case you would want to modify your AdWords campaigns to target this demographic and greatly increase your profits for the same ad budget. You can follow these instructions to set it up.
